Safety instructions

Reminder of the main safety and operating instructions

  • Read the operating instructions carefully before using the station or control unit.
  • When working, wear suitable protective accessories, such as safety goggles with side shields and heat-resistant gloves.
  • In the event of coolant being splashed into the eyes or onto the skin, rinse thoroughly and contact a doctor immediately (contact with the eyes may cause serious damage to eyesight, contact with the skin may cause burns).
  • In summer, do not leave the station or control unit stored inside a vehicle exposed to the sun. High temperature and pressure conditions will cause the safety valve to open and refrigerant to be lost.
  • The station may only be used by authorised operators who have the necessary professional knowledge and are familiar with the basic principles of air conditioning systems, refrigerants and the risks to which pressurised units are exposed.
  • The stations and control units are designed to be used only with their refrigerant and must never be used with any other refrigerant:
    • NH134 > refrigerant R134a,
    • N134 > refrigerant R134a,
    • W134 > refrigerant R134a,
    • W134 Premium > refrigerant R134a,
    • NH1234 > refrigerant R1234yf,
    • N1234 > refrigerant R1234yf,
    • W1234 > refrigerant R1234yf,
    • W1234 Premium > refrigerant R1234yf,
    • RF404 > refrigerant R404A,
    • RF452 > refrigerant R452A.
  • Only use refrigerant oil and tracer that are compatible with the refrigerant in the station or control unit.
  • When the station or control unit starts up, there is a delay of about 10 seconds before the control panel lights up.
  • Check that the point of connection to the power supply includes all the protection required by current safety regulations: earthing, earth leakage circuit breaker.
  • Do not open the chassis of the station or control unit when it is in operation or connected to a power source.
  • Maintenance work, repairs and replacement of parts must be carried out by a repairer approved by SNDC ECOCLIM.
  • Move and maintain the station or unit in an upright position.
  • The flexible hoses in the station or unit are fitted with filters: their role is to protect the internal components of the station or unit from particles and solid impurities carried by the recovered refrigerant. They should be cleaned as often as possible, and in particular:
    • After any recovery of refrigerant from a polluted circuit,
    • Before charging an A/C circuit.
